Welcome to bowdon hockey club


Bowdon hockey club is one of the premier hockey clubs in the north west of england.


We are proud of being a family club where hockey has been played since 1886, we are very lucky having access to our own water based pitch adjacent to the iconic club house.


We run 8 men’s, and in season 2019/20 8 women’s, junior hockey for U9’s-U18’s and veteran’s teams. These teams play in league and cup competitions both across the north west and nationally. We really have a team that caters for every level of the game from junior and adult beginner to international.


We have a strong youth development system supported by our team of coaches and volunteers that have produced hockey players that have starred at both junior and full international level.
